Angelythea: Freeing SG + Bowling

We -Elythea and I- went out with Rachel and Jiayi today to go to this 5D experience thing that Rachel told us about (at Bugis+) and bowling. Too bad Char and Zuer couldn't make it, or we'd have so much more fun (not that today was boring or anything)! Read on to find out more about our day! (p.s. I'm the photographer of the day, so I won't be in many of the following pictures ;) -Ange)

We met up really early for my liking -and mine too- (if it requires me to use my alarm clock, I'm not happy) at 10am because Party Pooper Ely here (nice nickname) needed to go to her grandmother's house at 3pm. And as usual, Jiayi is the one that is really early and Ely is the late one. Hey I tried to get there on time! I was just travelling halfway when I forgot my money, so I had to go back hehe. What? I told you I'm not a morning person.

Rachel, Jiayi and I then had a really unhealthy breakfast at McDonald's while we waited for Ely and counting the amount of calories and sodium that our disgustingly delicious food contained. We are not one of those bitches that go around saying things like "I wonder how many calories this water has?" (which I know is 0) but you can't just ignore the numbers when it goes to above 400 when it comes to a plain muffin! Ah, girls are girls~

Anyway, Ely arrived when we finished our food so Rach and I gave her our milo that we couldn't finish.

At 11am (when the 'shop'? opened) we headed up to get crackin'.

isn't the ambience beautiful? It's such a contrast to the "horror" that you would face later.

I think this room is really cool but they are afraid of "blood". (not a fan of gore :/)

THIS WAS THE ONE WE WANTED!! But I guess this is the most popular one since it was booked in advanced by some other people, and it was the only one booked at that time. (unlucky us)

We're definitely gonna come back and play this! (This looks the most interesting of the lot. Has those "lasers" stuff that cliche spy movies/shows seem to have)

As we were first timers, the guy at the till suggested that we choose an easier one so that we could familiarise ourselves with the game rules and how they are supposed to work. (Some of the rooms required physical activity -my favourites- while others are the thinking and solving aka detective work) We ended up going for the "Painter's Murder" one which is the easiest (i think) of the lot.

In my opinion, I really didn't like the effects of the room at all because it looks really fake. And although they did have "scary music", it did freak us out in the beginning, but when time progresses and you get used to it, it starts to be kinda annoying. We didn't end up solving the situation unfortunately, but it was a pretty good experience (also pretty boring to be honest). I bet the guy was looking through the security camera, mocking us.

The downside is that you can only have one shot at it and can only come back and try the room again in 12 months. (Hope I'd remember how to solve it next year! Hehehe)

Took the MRT to Tampines, then took the taxi to Tampines SAFRA 'cause we're late for our bowling booking :(

I think we had really bad luck, like the bowling gods cursed us or something. For the first two rounds we played, the sweep kept "breaking down" on us. Then we changed lane for the third round, and the balls got stuck at the pit and couldn't return to the ball rack. It was funny. I approached the old man at the counter for help so much, I was surprised he wasn't annoyed at all and he even chuckled! However, even though we were at times, a little irritated by the disturbance, I don't think it really affected our happy mood. We had lots of fun :)
